Update: The woman has been found safe, according to Cleveland police.
Cleveland police are searching for a missing 50-year-old woman who was last heard from when she texted her friend asking for help.
She was last heard from on July 13 when she texted her friend around 10:45 a.m., saying that she was on East 140th Street and needed help, according to police.
Her friend sent her daughter to the location to pick her up but could not find her, police said.
The friend told police that a mutual friend had contacted her asking if she had seen the woman and was also worried about her disappearance, according to police.
The woman's friend told police that she receives treatment at a nearby mental health facility.
