Have you seen any messages from a Facebook friend saying that almost every account has been cloned?
Officials are warning Facebook users about a new scam saying their accounts have been hacked.
The Plaquemines Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness said the messages are bogus.
Officials said forwarding the latest "warning" is just making it worse.
The best thing to do if you get the message is just to ignore it.
There was a cloning epidemic on Facebook 18 months or so ago, which was genuine, and people still do get hacked. However, this new scam is completely different than what happened last year.
