Kasich takes time to rally his volunteers

"It's a perfect day for door knocking," said Ohio Governor John Kasich as he took a break from debate preps on this Super Bowl weekend and rally his inner coach.

"It all gets down to the grassroots now," Kasich told a group of supporters in Manchester set to go door knocking on his behalf.

"Listen, this is so critical because every single vote matters. You don't want to fall like 20 votes short, so you want to keep just pushing. So please, please when you see that house down at the end of the street, you've got to walk there and ask them to vote for us," he said.

"This is what's going to put us in a position to be able to go forward," said Kasich, who Friday night held his 100th town hall in the state the most by any candidate.

"We are rising here in New Hampshire, you all know even though they have tried to throw the kitchen sink at us, millions and millions of dollars being spent against us," he said of the television ads being aired by opponents Super Pacs.

Kasich vowed to keep things positive and told the volunteers its an attitude they need to share.

"I've worn out more shoes knocking on doors than anybody you can imagine, but it's what makes the difference because when people get that smile, that voter contact and they have a sense - a sense of something special - that's how we're going to put this thing over the top," he said.
