Family and friends of a missing 12-year-old girl from South Euclid are concerned for her safety.

Police said she has run away at least nine times. Previously, she has been found in Cleveland, Shaker Heights and Euclid. This time, she has been missing for more than two weeks.

The girl, Darnasja Reid, has been running away periodically ever since she started networking with older men online, her mother said. The 12-year-old's mother was horrified after seeing her daughter posting inappropriate and illegal images of herself on social media.

Sondra Miller with the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center stressed the importance of parents closely watching over their children's social media accounts. She said 12 and 13-year-olds are the most vulnerable to predators online.

Darnejsa Reid is described as being 5 feet tall and weighs about 110 pounds with dark hair and brown eyes. Her family said she was last seen on December 6th.

Her mother said she could be anywhere in the Cleveland area, but they also have reason to believe could be in the Detroit area.

If you know where she is or who she may be with, call South Euclid Police Department at 216-381-1234.
