A 7-month old black bear cub was tranquilized after it broke through its exhibit and gained access to Columbus Zoo grounds Saturday morning.
No injuries have been reported by the zoo.
The zoo said the cub was able to scale a fence and avoid an electric wire that would have shocked it, according ABC affiliate WSYX in Columbus.
Guests were moved to safety after a lockdown was called, according to the zoo.
The zoo stated that its emergency response team tranquilized the cub at around 11:30 a.m.; then it was crated and taken to a secure area.
