Governor John Kasich won't say whether he supports or opposes last week's grand jury decision not to indict a police officer in the 2014 shooting death of Tamir Rice.
Kasich would only tell NBC's "Meet the Press" the decision was controversial.
The Republican presidential candidate also called Tamir's death a "terrible tragedy."
He praised Cleveland for keeping demonstrations afterward peaceful.
