An 18-year-old college student from Westlake is facing charges after police found guns and several knives in his Heidelberg University dorm room.

According to Tiffin police, on Monday around noon a female student told police she was concerned after her boyfriend made threats toward her. She told campus officers about some potential weapons in his dorm room.

Campus security called Tiffin police and officers from both law enforcement agencies responded to the dorm.

Police say a search of his dorm room uncovered a shotgun, a .45 caliber handgun, several knives, a blow dart gun and two pairs of brass knuckles.

David Andrew Conrad was arrested and charged with aggravated menacing and marijuana paraphernalia. Weapons charges are pending.

Police say Conrad will not be allowed back on campus.
