COLUMBUS — Ohio State Rep. Nino Vitale is being referred to the Ohio Elections Commission for alleged campaign violations.
Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose said that Vitale submitted a blank campaign finance report one day after the June 5 campaign deadline.
“I swore an oath to uphold the law, so when I see an apparent violation of our state’s campaign finance statutes, I am duty-bound to refer it to the Ohio Elections Commission,” said LaRose. “All public officials must be held accountable.”
Vitale has made headlines recently after urging people not to get tested for COVID-19.
He has also been a major advocate against face masks and made it clear that he felt they didn't work after Gov. Mike Dewine had a false positive test for the virus.
"If face diapers worked, why did Dewine test positive. They are Depends for sheeple," Vitale said.
