COLUMBUS, Ohio — President Joe Biden will travel to Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, March 23, the anniversary of the Affordable Care Act being signed into law in 2010.
Biden will be in Columbus as part of his “Help is Here” tour, to show how the American Rescue Plan will lower health care costs for many American families, according to ABC News reports.
The American Rescue Plan is the name of the COVID-19 relief bill signed by President Biden on March 11. In addition to the $1,400 direct payments to Americans earning less than $75,000 a year, the bill included numerous provisions to fund public health and COVID-19 testing and vaccination programs.
More details on the president’s visit are expected soon.
