The U.S. Coast Guard suspended the search for two people who were last seen on an inflatable raft approximately 500 yards off the shore of North Kingsville on Monday evening.
Crews suspended the search around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday until further notice of new developments.
There were no missing persons reports filed, according to the Coast Guard.
The search continued overnight through Tuesday morning as the Coast Guard uses several resources to find the two missing people.

The two people were last seen about 500 yards off the shore in North Kingsville, which is outside of Ashtabula.

A witness told officials they last saw a man and either a child or a woman in the water. The witness jumped off the raft in an attempt to pull the raft closer to shore.
Shortly after, the witness lost sight of the two people and called for help.
The Coast Guard says crews will continue to search throughout the morning.
