CLEVELAND — Inspired by #GivingTuesdayNow movement, the City Mission is hosting a one-day series of virtual events called #InThisTogetherCLE on May 5.
The intention behind hosting #InThisTogetherCLE is to unite and thank their supporters while also inviting more people to provide care for people who have become homeless for any number of reasons during the pandemic.
“The Cleveland community is incredibly philanthropic and very responsive,” Rich Trickel, CEO of The City Mission shares. “I’m grateful for the many who are responding – buying supplies, sending extra financial gifts, and posting words of encouragement. #GivingTuesdayNow is our chance to thank them with some fun. It’s also an opportunity to invite those who still have stability in their lives into helping their neighbors weather this storm.”
The virtual events will take place from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. via Facebook live, and include a morning workout, Q&A about the state of homelessness in Cleveland, family craft, cooking demonstration, and Cleveland trivia night.
A donation of $22 is suggested for participation in each event, but no donation is necessary to take part, according to the City Mission.
Those who are interested in participating can find more information here.
