VERMILION, Ohio — It can be hard for some families to make ends meet during the coronavirus pandemic. That’s why Vermilion police are going above and beyond their normal scope of duty to pass out pizzas this weekend so families can enjoy a meal together.

The Vermilion Police Department will be handing out free pizzas on Saturday starting at 4 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Vermilion-on-the-Lake clubhouse, 3780 Edgewater Drive
  • Vermilion High School, 1250 Sanford St.
  • Pat O’ Brien Collision Center, 4545 Liberty Ave.

Anyone in need is welcome to come get a free pizza. Anyone who shows up is asked to keep your car’s passenger seat empty so an officer can hand the pizza in through the window.

Pizzas are first come, first served.
