The Cleveland Indians donated Thursday to the Puritas Baseball League after a thief stole food, candy and baseballs from the league's office and concession stand earlier this week.

Mascot Slider headed to Maplewood Diamonds Thursday to donate $2,500 and equipment to the league.

Workers said the robbers stole money from the cash register and vandalized the property on Monday.

About 10 dozen brand new, unused baseballs were stolen during the robbery.
