Francisco Lindor expected to be out for 7-9 weeks with right calf strain

CLEVELAND — You may want to sit down for this news: Francisco Lindor is expected to be out 7 to 9 weeks because of a right calf strain, the Cleveland Indians said in a tweet Friday.

The Indians shortstop suffered a right calf strain while preparing for spring training.

Lindor has started rehab and is expected to return to the game after sitting out 7-9 weeks.

On Feb. 12, pitchers and catchers report followed by the whole team reporting on Feb. 16.
