More than one million fans filled downtown Cleveland for the parade- each one with a story to tell, a reason they had to be there.

Fans told NewsChannel 5's Tara Molina it was a celebration the people of Cleveland have hoped and prayed for, for what seems like forever.

"This is the craziest day of our lives," Jimmy Adams said.

Fans lined up in the streets, one brought his recliner to make himself comfortable.

"I've come to realize location means everything," he said.

Fans flocked to Cleveland from the suburbs, all over the state and all across the country.

John Allen flew in from California. He said he couldn't find a hotel, but he doesn't care.

"I'll probably be sleeping in the street, but I'm staying right here till it's over," Allen said.

All of the fans proving that no matter what area code you call home, the Cavaliers make a little room for Cleveland in everyone's heart.

"This is an America right now, this is about coming back, this is about making it happen against all odds. That's why we are all here!"
