A blockbuster trade between the Cavaliers and the Celticshit fans on both sides of each team on Tuesday.
While fans poured their reactions onto social media, analysts and fans looked to LeBron for clarity and even support on how to react.
The four-time MVP had nothing but kind and encouraging words to say about Irving on Twitter a few hours after the trade became official.
"That's the only way to be to the kid! Special talent/guy! Nothing but respect and what a ride it was our 3 three years together Young Gode," James wrote on Twitter.

Kyrie Irving, whose trade request became public last month, caused speculation about the fate of the Cavaliers in the upcoming season. Irving spent six years with Cavaliers, three of which he played alongside MVP James.
In the trade, the Cavaliers acquired Isaiah Thomas and other players in the deal.
Cavs fans are already waiting for the Cavaliers to face off to the Celtics on October 17 at Quicken Loans Arena.
