Cleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson will miss Wednesday's game against the Celtics due to a sprained right thumb.
This will mark Thompson's first game missed after playing 447 consecutive games. His streak was the longest in the NBA and the longest in Cavaliers history.
The player was injured in the third quarter of Tuesday's game vs. the Magic.
X-rays came back negative but Thompson did not travel with the team to Boston so he could have additional testing done at the Cleveland Clinic Wednesday.
He is also expected to miss Friday's game.
