SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — Shaker Heights police responded to a frantic 911 Tuesday night for a juvenile running down the street screaming, only to find out he wasn’t in danger or hurt, he was just an avid Browns fan excited for the Odell Beckham Jr. trade.
During the call, a woman tells the 911 operator that "there's someone out in front of our house, we just drove home, and he's yelling and screaming, and like flailing his arms, and I don't want to get my kids out of the car yet because I don't know what's going on."
The officers located the “future Browns general manager” and joined him in celebrating the moment before he “quietly returned to his residence to resume his festivities without disturbing the neighbors,” according to a Facebook post by Shaker Heights police.
The Browns are sending a first and third-round pick in 2019 along with safety Jabrill Peppers to the Giants for Beckham, one of the NFL's top players.
With the Browns, Beckham will be reunited with receiver Jarvis Landry, a close friend and teammate at LSU. He'll also give Baker Mayfield an elite weapon, and his arrival could vault the Browns, who went 7-8-1 last season after not winning a game in 2017, into legitimate championship contenders.
