CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns announced Sunday that they have traded defensive end and linebacker Genard Avery to the Philadelphia Eagles.
In return for Avery, the Browns will receive an undisclosed 2021 draft pick.
Drafted in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Avery was active for two games as a reserve where he recorded two tackles this season.
Last season, in his rookie year, Avery started five games and finished the 2018 season with 39 tackles and 4.5 sacks.
The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday at 4:00 p.m., so more roster moves may be on the way.
