CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns are beginning to make moves as they work to narrow their roster down to 53 men and have traded quarterback David Blough to the Lions, according to the team.

Blough, a 24-year-old from Purdue, was signed by the Browns as an undrafted free agent on May 3.

He completed 25-of-43 passes for 271 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions this preseason.

In exchange for Blough, the Lions are swapping their undisclosed 2022 seventh-round pick with the Browns.

The Lions watched Blough the night before the trade in the Great Lakes Classic where he completed 11 of his 17 passes for 115 yards and two interceptions.

The Browns beat the Lions 20-16 to wrap up the preseason in that game. Blough will be one of many departures from the Browns as the roster cut deadline is Saturday at 4 p.m.
