CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns announced that the team’s new uniforms will finally be released on Wednesday, and all of the net proceeds from jersey sales will be donated to those working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The team launched a fund called “Hats Off to Our Heroes” Monday, which will focus on helping health care workers, first responders, educational professionals and other groups serving their communities during these difficult times.

For months there has been anticipation surrounding the reveal of the team’s new uniforms, which will be shared on Wednesday, April 15 on the Browns social media platforms and website, according to the team.

“When finalizing our uniform announcement, we realized we had an incredible opportunity to further our support of heroes battling COVID-19 on the front lines for our entire community,” said Executive Vice President JW Johnson in a press release. “We hope the excitement surrounding the new uniforms can help make a significant impact through the ‘Hats Off to Our Heroes' Fund, and we greatly appreciate the support from our fans, retail partners and team to make this special way to give back to those leaders possible.”

The Browns will donate 100 percent of net proceeds from the new 2020 jersey sales at FirstEnergy Stadium’s Pro Shop for a “significant period of time,” the team said.

Fans who buy a new jersey directly from the Pro Shop will also receive a 30% off coupon in the mail for a future purchase.

With the store closed to following social distancing guidelines, orders can be placed from the FirstEnergy Pro Shop by calling 440-824-3427 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Pro Shop will also have special hours at the launch of the uniforms, taking orders by phone from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday. This Saturday and Sunday, orders can be placed between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
