NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr. for allegedly slapping a security officer on the behind in the Louisiana State University locker room following the national championship game on Monday night.

The warrant is for simple battery and was signed by a judge on Thursday morning, New Orleans police confirmed to News 5. Beckham has not been arrested.

Video posted to social media showed the stadium security officer interacting with players smoking in the locker room after the championship victory, reports WBRZ, the ABC affiliate in Baton Rouge.

Beckham appears to slap the officer as he looks around and claims to see damage to the floor. “They’ve got a burn mark there,” the officer exclaims.

“Uh-oh,” bystanders jest after Beckham appears to slap the officer, who turns around but does not engage.

The Browns released the following statement regarding the incident:

"We are aware of the incident and have been in touch with Odell and his representatives on the matter. They are cooperating with the proper authorities to appropriately address the situation."

OBJ also drew scrutiny after he was caught on video handing out cash to LSU players on the field after the game.
