Report: Brett Favre compares himself to Baker Mayfield

CLEVELAND — Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre said he sees a lot of himself in Baker Mayfield, according to News 5's media partners at the Akron Beacon Journal.

Favre told the ABJ that there's no question the sky is the limit for Mayfield.

Mayfield was drafted by the Browns after going 0-16 in 2017. When Mayfield took over as the starting quarterback the following season, the team went 7-8-1.

When Favre was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 1991, before getting traded to the Packers the following season. Green Bay hadn't reached a playoff since 1982. He led the team to their first playoff appearance in more than 10 years in 1993.

Odell Beckham Jr., John Dorsey and Ron Wolf have also made the comparisons between the two quarterbacks.
