COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State University is looking to trademark the word "The" when used with the university's name, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
A trademark application was submitted on August 8.
In the past, OSU has trademarked Urban Meyer's and Woody Hayes's names.
Last fall, Ohio State had 150 trademarks in 17 countries.
