Golden State star Kevin Durant plans to play in Game 5 of the NBA Finals Monday night, a league source has told ESPN. The game will air beginning at 9 p.m. on News 5 Cleveland.

Durant had been out with an injury since May but will make his 2019 Finals debut against the Toronto Raptors during Game 5 Monday night.

Coverage of the game is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. on News 5. The Golden State Warriors will take on the Raptors in Toronto, which holds a 3-1 lead in the series. Only one team has ever overcome a 3-1 deficit to win the NBA Finals -- the Cleveland Cavs. And they beat the Warriors to do it.

Durant has been sidelined for more than a month with a strained calf. He spent about 25 minutes on the court at the end of the Warriors’ shoot-around session.

"He went through full shoot-around and went back to get treatment," Warriors coach Steve Kerr told NBA.com. "We'll list him game-time decision, but it looked good and we'll see where it all goes."

Kerr added there is no firm minutes restriction for him for Monday night’s game.
