Avon High hockey player Joe Goetz has been a varsity player for the Eagles for 4 years. He's the team captain and one of the leading scorers. Joe is also all-county and team captain for the cross country team, and a member of the track team.
"He's definitely one of our leaders he stepped in that role very nicely this year. I think over all he's just a great young man and he's good to have on the team," said head hockey coach Nick Novakovic.
Joe maybe a good high school athlete but with a 4.1 GPA member National Honor Society and academic challenge he is an all-star in the classroom.
"You have to know how to get where you want to be and where I want to go a lot of education is needed. Engineering is such a hard major you have to know how to do it and focus all your efforts into it," said Goetz.
