Marcus McAlister is a highly-coveted defensive lineman in northeast Ohio. He is currently a senior at St. Vincent-St. Mary’s high school where he excels both in the classroom and on the football field.
“Football helps me get my mind off negative stuff and be positive and keeps me going,” McAlister explained.
McAlister has received all-regional honors, while maintaining a 3.3 GPA. He’s garnered the attention of division one college coaches.
“My biggest adversity is being different, leading and being able to build a work ethic and be at school on time and things like that,” McAlister explained.
The dominant lineman is considering becoming a pharmacist or an engineer. While a career is still a few years away, he has set plenty of short-term goals.
“Goals are to keep my grades up, play hard , bring my team to a winning year and allow my siblings to be encouraged, “McAlister said.
