BOSTON — LeBron James has become a partner in the Fenway Sports Group, which makes him a part-owner of the Boston Red Sox, according to ESPN.
The Akron native teamed up with Maverick Carter, his longtime friend and business partner, to become partners at Fenway Sports Group.
They will also become partial owners of other FSG subsidiaries, including NASCAR team Roush Fenway Racing, sports cable network NESN and Fenway Sports Management.
It is unknown how much of the group that the duo owns.
