CLEVELAND — FirstEnergy is reporting that more than 32,000 customers are without power in Cuyahoga County on Tuesday morning.

At 12:45 p.m., the number of outages dropped to more than 12,000.

FirstEnergy released the following statement about the outages:

"We are actively working to restore power to customers in those areas. The misty rain combined with salt on the road can cause contamination on utility poles. When that happens, electricity can travel across the pole and cause small fires. Our crews are working as quickly and as safely as possible to get the remaining customers restored."

The largest outages are in Parma, Cleveland, Parma Heights and Garfield Heights.
