CLEVELAND — An area of intense snow squalls will move across parts of Northeast Ohio, including Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Trumbull and southern Ashtabula during the morning commute on Wednesday.
As of 6:30 a.m., the radar indicated an area of intense snow squalls along a line extending from 9 miles north of Lakewood to Chardon, moving east at 35 mph.
These squalls will move across the area during the morning commute.
Visibility will be an issue, rapidly dropping to less than a quarter of a mile at times.
Areas impacted by the squalls include:
- Cleveland
- Painesville
- Willowick
- Meadville
- Chardon
- Fairport Harbor
- Parma
- Lakewood
- Euclid
- Mentor
- Cleveland Heights
- Solon
- Willoughby
- Eastlake
- Warrensville Heights
- Cortland
- South Russell
- Madison
- Middlefield
- Kinsman
Drivers should use extra caution if you travel through these areas hit by snow squall.
