A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 7:30 p.m. for:

- Geauga County
- East central Cuyahoga County
- Lake County
- Northeastern Summit County
- Ashtabula County
As it approached, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Chardon to near South Russell, moving northeast at 50 mph.

- Expect damage to trees and power lines.
- Locations impacted include Warren, Painesville, Ashtabula, Conneaut, Chardon, Fairport Harbor, Geneva-On-The-Lake, Mentor, Solon, Willoughby, Hudson, Twinsburg, Streetsboro, Cortland, Geneva, South Russell, Madison, North Kingsville, Middlefield and Garrettsville.
As a precaution, says the National Weather Service, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
