ASHTABULA COUNTY, Ohio — The Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency has issued an Air Quality Advisory for multiple Northeast Ohio counties due to ground-level ozone.
The following counties are under the advisory:
- Ashtabula County
- Cuyahoga County
- Geauga County
- Lake County
- Lorain County
- Medina County
- Portage County
- Summit County
The advisory is in effect through Tuesday.
Air quality levels will be "unhealthy for sensitive groups" during this time.
Ozone, which forms in the air on hot, sunny days, can trigger harmful respiratory effects in some people, according to NOACA.
