Brace yourself. More snow is coming to the snowbelt.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Friday through Saturday. Snowfall is expected to start Friday at 7 a.m and will continue until Saturday, just in time to ring in the New Year with more snow and colder temperatures.

The Power of 5 Weather Team is expecting lake effect snow bands to persist along the lakeshore in far Northeast Ohio.

Many areas could see around 3-6 inches of snowfall by Saturday night. Cleveland is expected to get closer to 2 inches. Isolated areas could end up closer to 10 inches if the snow bands stay in the same area for a long time.

Higher amounts closer to 12 inches are expected in places like Erie County, Pennsylvania, which has already received record snow this week.

The Power of 5 Weather Team will be tracking snow for you on-air and online through the holiday weekend.
