LAKEWOOD, Ohio — It was an eventful Thanksgiving Eve in Northeast Ohio when strong winds knocked down trees and power lines.

A tree uprooted an entire garage and crashed into a house in Lakewood on Lakeland Avenue.

Another tree split in half on W.130th Street and Lorain Avenue in Cleveland while tens of thousands of people there waited patiently for power to be restored.

In Fairview Park, police monitored a live wire down in the street until utility crews got things back up and running.

You can watch video of the storm damage in the player above.
