Tornado warning issued for central Ashtabula County until 3:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a tornado warning for east central Ashtabula County in Northeastern Ohio until 3:45 p.m.

At 3 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Pymatuning North, Pennsylvania or about 14 miles south of Conneaut, moving east at 35 mph.

Hazards include a possible tornado and quarter-size hail, the NWS states.

Potential impacts include flying debris, which will be dangerous to those caught without shelter, the NWS reports. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is likely.

The NWS advises:

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
