CLEVELAND — Northeast Ohio got hit with its first snow of the season—causing a potential messy commute for some. Scattered lake effect rain and snow showers will lift north Friday morning.

Drivers should allow extra time to get from point A to B this morning. Rain, snow and a mix likely where squalls persist.

Winter has arrived in Cleveland. Snow appeared near Tremont.

When you head outside, you could possibly find your car covered in ice pellets.

The Rest of the day

The good news is the lake effect snow doesn't last all day.

Sunshine will give us some much-needed relief this afternoon. However, temperatures will remain cool, barely reaching 40 degrees in most areas today.
