A community memorial service, organized by the Huggins family, has been planned for the seven people killed in a tragic house fire in Akron last week.

The community memorial service will be held at The Word Church Akron on Saturday, May 27. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to noon. The service starts at noon. Pastor R. A. Vernon will be presiding.

The Boggs family is also planning funeral services at a later date for Angela and her five children.

Dennis Huggins, Angela Boggs, Cameron Huggins, Alivia Huggins, Kylle Huggins, Daisia Huggins and Jered Boggs were killed in the fire at a home on Fultz Street.

Hundreds of people gathered in Akron Saturday night for a candlelight vigil in honor of the family.

The medical examiner ruled last week that all victims died from smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
