The husband of a woman who was found dead in Garfield Heights in May has been arrested in connection to her murder.
Lavora Allen, 39, was found dead in the basement of a home on Orme Road. Monte Woodley, 45, was arrested Tuesday.
The two married in January of this year.
Garfield Heights police originally responded to the home in May to investigate a missing person complaint. Several family members reported their mother was missing after she didn't pick up her granddaughter from school.
Relatives checked inside the home and found Allen lying face down at the bottom of the basement stairs.
Woodley is being held on $1 million bond.
