Police have identified the two men involved in a deadly shooting in Copley Friday night.

Officers were called to a home on Lakeland Avenue around 6:09 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

When police arrived at the scene, they found two gunshot victims on the front porch.

Thomas Sams, 34 of Akron, was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.

Delamon Marshall, 37, also of Akron, was shot at least twice. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police say a woman was also at the home at the time of the shooting.

During the investigation, police discovered Sams was the ex-boyfriend of the woman. Marshall is the current boyfriend.

Two guns were found at the scene.

Police believe the men fired at each other during an argument on the porch.

Marshall remains at the hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

Karen Kiehl, who lives in the neighborhood where the shooting took place,  walked by the house shortly after the shooting.

"I looked up at the porch and saw there was a man laying down there moving, and then I saw boots of somebody else that was not moving, but I couldln't see the rest of them," Kiehl said.
