Most Memorable Stories:
Two year-long investigation into questionable purchases by government leaders in a Western Kentucky County, which led to the federal indictment of the county judge executive. I also did a series of stories from Paris Island, SC about a couple of USMC recruits that were going through boot camp.
 
Awards/Honors: Numerous Regional Murrow awards for best hard news, investigative and sports reporting. I was also honored as the Indiana SPJ Journalist of the Year in 2016.

Family: I am the oldest son of Tom and Nancy Vandenberge. I also have a younger brother who lives in Austin, TX.
 
Hobbies & Interests:
Anything related to Dallas sports. I also have a passion for history, architecture and carpentry.

Something people don’t know about me: I’m generally an open book but most people don’t realize that I’m left-handed.

What I like best about NE Ohio: The people!

You’re most likely to see me around town at: Most weekends, you’re bound to find me at the West Side Market or incredulously staring at all the awesome, historic buildings and homes in the area. 

On weekends I love to: On my off days, I’m generally out exploring the area or working on my latest project. I’m a big do-it-yourselfer and haven’t lost a finger yet!
