Guide to Cleveland Beer Week 2017: October 13-22

Brewers and beer drinkers are coming together to celebrate Cleveland Beer Week—a week-long celebration of Cleveland pride sourced from the abundance of breweries established around the city and the ones planned to go up in the future.

Cleveland Beer Week kicks off with a flagship event of old-fashion beer crawls, going from one bar to another, sipping, tasting and drinking locally produced beer. 

Diving the region into teams by turf, 33 local breweries created seven small-batch collaboration IPA's brewed specially for Cleveland Beer Week. Buy a ticket and grab your beer passport to taste all seven beers!

5 neighborhood beer crawls

Lakewood: Crawlers check in at Winking Lizard Tavern. From there, participants will head to other breweries that include: O'Tooles, Rozis, Burger 2 Beer, Melt Lakewood and Forage Public House.

Time: Friday, Oct. 13 from 7-10 p.m.

Ohio City: Crawlers check in at the Great Lakes Gift Shop to grab up the beer passport. From there, participants will make their way to the other Ohio City Breweries which include: Platform Brewing Co., Bier Market, Market Garden, Nano Brew and Hansa Brewery.

Flats East Bank: Crawlers check in at Beerhead Bar & Eatery to start the crawl and grab the beer passport. From there, the tour includes: Collision Bend Brewery, Dante's Inferno and Thirsty Dog Brewery.

Willoughby: Pick up your beer crawl passport at Willoughby Brewing Company. From there, crawlers can go to Wild Goose, 1899 Pub, Balatine, The Morehouse and Brim Kitchen and Brewery.

Tremont: Crawlers check in at Hi and Dry and from there walk the streets of Tremont to Tremont Tap House, Prosperity Social Club, Bourbon Street Barrel Room.

Belgian Social

Belgian beers are here. Belgian-inspired food and beers are offered at this beer event. Thor Platter Band will provide the entertainment. Advanced tickets are required.

Where's Dale? Liquid Scavenger Hunt

This is your chance to go on an adult scavenger hunt involving beer! The hunt is to find the tastes of Dale Oskar Blues during this liquid scavenger hunt. Check in at Bourbon Street Barrel Room to have the first taste of Oskar Blues and receive a specially limited edition T-shirt and passport. Stop by at Edison's and grab a slice of their New York style pizza. Turn in your passport there to receive a pint glass and enter your name in a drawing.

The Clam Jam

The season is upon us for clambakes. Buy tickets before they're gone, which include a half a chicken, a dozen clams, roll, salad, corn, chowder and a potato. Plus, all you can drink Great Lakes Beer, which include Commodore Perry IPA, Ohio City Stout and Dortmunder to pair with the bake. If you're worried about the game, there will be an outdoor screen to watch the game.

Deep Brew Sea

Sip among the sharks and other aquatic life at the Cleveland Aquarium. There will be over 10 beer stations and food pairings. Tickets include a T-shirt, tasting cup, souvenir photo, raffle ticket and entertainment.

Culture Yourself

Sample beer from 17 top national breweries that have paired their ber with cheese and other offerings. Brewers and specialists will be on site to discuss the flavors behind their beer and pairings. Beers from Alaska, Colorado and Chicago are just a few national breweries.

Off Shore Pour

Set your foot on the Nautica Queen to take a cruise on Lake Erie while drinking beer from 15 craft beers from all over the world. Bangkok, Mexico, San Diego and Belgium are bringing beer to the shores of Cleveland.

Farm Crawl 

It's adult fall fun— activities usually left to children are now geared towards adults. Race a group of your friends down our 311 ft. super slide. Navigate through three themed corn mazes, one of which will hold the sought after Bourbon County Brand Stout by Goose Island.

Cleveland Beer Week Ales on Rails.

All aboard! A beautiful ride on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad doesn't get much better. But add good food and craft beer, and it becomes an adventure. Guests can choose between the dining car and coach/metro cars for the ride.

Beer & Chocolate—a cocoa and hops experience

Chocolate and beer for Sweetest Day eve. Breweries from around the country will be offering pairings to chocolates at this interactive event in the beautiful Cleveland Rotunda Building.

RARE

Guests will have access to beers that are hard to find in a grocery store. Ticket includes 15 pours with a buffet dinner.
