INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — Ahead of its much-anticipated opening, News 5 got special access to what will soon be Northeast Ohio’s newest Topgolf location in Independence.
This multi-entertainment complex includes simulator experiences, golf ball tracing tech, golf games for all skills levels, a sports bar with a chef-driven menu, and more.
The construction on the 65,000 square-foot space began in fall 2018.
"Adding Topgolf to the Independence business community is a significant win for us, as it broadens the Rockside area's amenity mix," said Independence Mayor Anthony Togliatti, when it was first announced Topgolf would be coming to the city.
The facility will have point-scoring golf games using microchipped balls that instantly score themselves, along with a climate-controlled hitting bay.
Topgolf is slated to open to the public on Friday, Dec. 13.
The new venue will be located near the Embassy Suites at 5800 Rockside Woods Blvd.
