CLEVELAND — Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of summer in Northeast Ohio, when everyone gets outside to enjoy some sun and suds. From festivals to Lake Erie and every brewery, parade and bar in between, we looked at every event in town this weekend and picked our favorites.

1. Float the River
Enjoy some much-needed relaxation and an excuse to feel lazy with this two-hour tubing event down the Cuyahoga River. Bring your friends for a lazy river floating experience that will start at Waterworks Park in Cuyahoga Falls and end in downtown Cuyahoga Falls.

Cost is $20 per tube rental and includes a shuttle. Online booking and more info here.

2. Taste of Summer Returns
All your favorite things wrapped up in one event: food, vendors, local music, beer, craft cocktails, bounce house, giant Jenga and more. This family-friendly shindig in the Flats East Bank includes views of the Cuyahoga River. The three-day event begins Friday, May 24 at 4-10 p.m.
