An Akron woman has been charged after she allegedly stole money from a relative with developmental disabilities.
Authorities arrested 30-year-old Alicia N. Coon on Tuesday. Police said Coon had taken around $900 from the victim's bank account. Police said they received a tip about the theft in November of last year.
The Summit County Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation and Coon was arrested on Jan. 23.
Coon was charged with theft from the disabled, a felony of the fifth-degree, and taken to the Summit County Jail.
She is scheduled to appear in Akron Municipal Court on Feb. 9.
