Another reason to love Northeast Ohio. Akron and Cleveland are ranked among the best cities in the country for St. Patrick's Day celebrations!
WalletHub.com recently made us unhappy when it ranked Cleveland one of the nation's least happy cities. This kind of makes up for it: Cleveland is listed as a top city for celebrating on March 17. And Akron does Cleveland a few rankings better!
As WalletHub.com explains, their rankings are based on a data set including “Irish pubs and restaurants per capita;” “lowest price for a three-star hotel on St. Patrick’s Day;” and “weather forecast.”

Last year...
Ranking website niche.com named Cleveland no. 8 in the nation for best celebrations.
The rankings were based on access to bars, Facebook hype, percentage of people with Irish heritage and the year the St. Patrick's Day parade was established (1867 for us!)
Pittsburgh topped the list, followed by Boston and Davenport, Iowa.
