CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Police Foundation and Lyft are partnering up to offer more than $6,000 in free ride credits to help residents stay safe and ride responsibly on the Fourth of July.

From July 3 at 9:00 p.m. through July 5 at 1 a.m., Lyft users can receive $5 off of rides to and from holiday events in Cuyahoga County.

“Whether passengers are enjoying a picnic at a friend’s house or coming downtown to view the fireworks, we want to provide riders with a smart, affordable and reliable transportation option so they can celebrate the holiday without worrying about how they’ll get home," Lyft said in a statement.

To redeem the offer, passengers can enter FOURTHNCLE19 as a promo code before requesting the ride.

“As police officers, our primary concern is for the safety of our residents and visitors to the city of Cleveland,” said Calvin Williams, Cleveland Police Chief. “We are happy to participate in spreading the word of the Safe Rides initiative.”

The code is valid for the first 1,300 passengers.
