CANTON, Ohio — Police are investigating after a man was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the head on Spring Avenue Northeast in Canton early Wednesday morning.
Police responded at about 1:38 a.m. to shots fired in the 1300 block of Spring Avenue Northeast.
Officers found a man in the roadway with an apparent single gunshot wound to the head.
He was taken to Mercy Medical Center where he died from his injuries. Authorities have identified the man as 58-year-old Paul Douglas Jeter, of Canton.
