CLEVELAND — Prime Day deals are underway, but Amazon isn't getting the online shopping holiday all to itself. Other popular retailers are also giving you a chance to cash in and save big.
According to local coupon blogger, Rachel Krych, your favorite spots will be trolling out deals that may be hard to pass up in order to compete with Amazon.
“Online sales have just skyrocketed since you know February, March and so they’re really just trying to go to where the shoppers are and clearly they’re doing a really great job,” Krych said.
But with so many options to shop online, where do you start? Krych says it depends on what you’re shopping for.
“When one store drives the price on a big-ticket item, the other store will also so you know really what it is is trying to kind of figure out where it’s most advantageous for you based on shipping,” Krych explained.
When it comes to cooking appliances like Instant Pots, Walmart may be the place for you. Walmart’s “Big Save Sale” will run longer than its competitors ending on Oct. 15. If its clothes you’re looking for, Krych says Macy’s and JCPenney’s is always a good place to check out, but don’t forget Target. It will be running deals through October 14th.
“Target always has classic looks and their prices are usually a really good deal anyway so it's nice they put extra savings on top of that.”
And we couldn’t forget about those big screen TV's, electronics and games. Krych says Best Buy is always a great place to find slashed price tags on those items. It’s a good chance you may even score big on discounted Apple products. The store’s “Early Black Friday” sale ends Oct. 14.
“I feel like this is going to usher us right into the Christmas season. People are going to be able to grab some really good deals here and they’re just going to continue,” Krych said.
The deals will be running all day long over the next few days and some may start at various times throughout the day.
