The Cleveland Indians announced an effort to assist with Hurricane Harvey relief plans.
The devastation from this week's disaster hits especially close to home for outfielder Jay Bruce. Bruce, who is from Beaumont, Texas, is also taking action to help those impacted in his home region.
The Indians announced on their website that all donations to Cleveland Indians Charities, made through September 10, will go to Bruce's efforts to aid Texans in need. The outfielder and his wife will also match up to $100,000 in donations made to Cleveland Indians Charities through September 10.
