Coronavirus in Ohio: 566 new cases on par with 21-day average, 18 new deaths reported

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Health reported 566 new coronavirus cases over the last 24 hours, bringing the state total to 32,477, and 18 new deaths, totaling 1,987 across the state.

The number of new cases reported Monday is near the 21-day reported case average of 572, and while it is a slight uptick from the 503 cases reported Sunday, it is lower than the three days before that.

There were 36 new cases reported Monday in Cuyahoga County, the lowest number since May 14, when the county reported just 27 new cases.

The 18 new deaths reported Monday is well below the 21-day average of 44.

To date, 330,334 people in Ohio have been tested for COVID-19.
